NC Thinner (Nitrocellulose Thinner)
NC thinner is formulated specifically for nitrocellulose-based lacquers and wood polish systems. It contains a blend of esters, ketones and alcohols in proportions that dissolve the NC binder without blushing or raising grain. NC thinner is widely used in furniture lacquering, automotive NC finish work and decorative wood coatings.
Using a mismatched thinner on an NC system — even a high-quality general thinner — can result in blushing, poor adhesion or cloudiness. Our NC thinner is matched to the NC binder system and comes with a consistent evaporation rate across batches.
